21世紀伊始，面臨資訊科技進展快速、數位資源日新月異、使用者資訊行為改變等資訊使用環境的變 化，為確保檔案描述的一致性，整合傳統實體館藏與各種數位典藏，進而支援檔案管理者典藏管理，和滿足 使用者檔案查找與取用等資訊需求，檔案學界致力於各種資訊組織標準修訂，新的檔案描述標準推陳出新。 國際檔案理事會(ICA)分別於2000年和2004年公布的ISAD(G)第二版與ISAAR(CPF)第二版等新版國際 標準。美國檔案人員學會(SAA)也在2002年完成檔案編碼格式EAD第二版；並在內容標準方面，不僅修 訂出版，更以全新的名稱展現，2004年以DACS取代APPM，又於2013年公布DACS第二版。本文將 聚焦於檔案描述標準發展及其規範重要面向，首先全面審視檔案描述專業與相關標準制定的演進歷程；接 著，以新世紀全新的檔案描述內容標準為核心，分析DACS制定時與ISAD(G)、ISAAR(CPF)二項國際標準 修訂及規範項目之關連性，和為支援EAD結構標準的應用等，相關檔案描述標準之間的影響；最後，以中 研院臺史所檔案館為核心，探討國際相關檔案描述標準在國內檔案實務界的應用，和提出國內檔案界發展相 關檔案描述標準之建議。

Living in an increasingly complex world of information creation and technologies changes, we need creative new strategies for resources description that can integrate our traditional materials with both digital surrogates and born-digital materials in ways that meet users' access needs and collectors' management tasks. During the past years, the archives community have developed and implemented the standards of archival description, in order to manage the diversity of resources, such as ISAD(G), ISAAR(CPF), EAD, DACS, etc. DACS is the new content standard of archival description which is replaced APPM in 2004 (second edition released in 2013). First of all, this article introduces the respective evolutions of the archival description standards currently. Secondly, the author involvedthecomparisonwiththesearchivaldescriptionstandards,suchasDACS,ISAD(G),ISAAR(CPF)andEAD. Moreover, the study focuses on the differentiation associated with the function and operation of the standards. Using the demonstration of mapping the transferability about archival description, that will provide a framework to establishthep「acticalapplicationaboutthecontentstanda「ds ofa「chivaldesc「iptioninTaiwan.Finally,thefindings suggest that the latest development in the standards will facilitate the archival management, as well as enhance the users' search and access.
