加農（三氯比）係植物生長素型選擇性殺草劑，適用於非耕地、造林地、鐵公路兩旁、工廠用地四週，它能防除大部分闊葉樹木與雜草尤其葛藤及冷飯藤，並可防除灌排水溝之布袋蓮，它易為對該藥劑敏感的植物之莖，葉及根所吸收，阻礙細胞生理代謝作用而發揮殺草效果，在植物之葉片剛完全展開時，實施葉面噴施尤具效果。

Garlon (triclopyr) is a new herbicide developed by The Dow Chemical Company. It induces characteristic auxin-type responses in growing plants. It can be absorbed by both leaves and roots, and is readily translcated throughout the lant. Foliage application achieves maximum plant response to treatment when Garln is applied soon after full leaf development and soil moisture is adequate for normal plant growth. Field results indicate that triclopyr is a very effective herbicide for broad leaf weed control in non-crop areas, forestry, turf and rights-of-way, especially in controlling of Polygonum chinense and Pueraria tonkincnsis.
