經調查台灣農地田圃中有19科、45屬、60種雜草為根瘤線蟲寄主，其中對本蟲感受性在"3"級以上者佔41%.根瘤線蟲種類以南方根瘤線蟲Meloidogyne incognita為最多.M.jauanica及M.arenaria 次之.北方根瘤線蟲 M.hapla 則僅發現寄生於通泉草上.寄主雜草之存在對根瘤線蟲的繁衍及殘存之間的關係亦在文中討論.

Sixty species of weeds belong to 19 families and 45 genera are the host plants of Meloidogyne spp. in Taiwan fields, and 41% of them with hightly susceptiblity. Most species of root-knot nematodes are Meloidogyne incognita followed by M.jauanica and M.arenaria M.hapla was found only on Mazus japonicus. The relationship between the presence of weed hosts and the population densities of root-knot nematodes are discussed.
