自1983年7月至1986年6月至全省蒐集原野生長之豆草、經繁殖、鑑定學名及栽培並作調查分析,結果:所有可能具有潛力之豆草共有27屬(Abrus、Aeschynomene、Alysicarpus、Arachis、Atytosis、Cajanus、Canavalia、Cassia、Centrosema、Clitoria、Crotalaria、Desmodium、Dolichos、Galactia、Glycine、Indigofera、Lablab、Leucaena、Macroptilium、Medicago、Neonotonia、Pueraria、Rhynchosia、Sesbania、Tephrosia、Trifolium及Vigna)計48種,以產量、植物特性、嗜口性及營養分析等因素綜合考量,結果以Alysicarpus nummularifolius、A. rugosus、A. raginalis、A. spp.,、Arachis glabrata、Centrosema plumieri、C. pubescens、Desmodium gangetium、D. heterocarpon、D. velutinum、Leucaena glauca、Macroptihum、atropurpureum、Medicags sativa、Neonotonia wightii、Pueraria motana、Trifolium pratense、T. repens及Vigna marina等18種最具牧草化之潛力。
Forty-eight species legumes belongig 27 genera were collectedall around the island from July 1983 to June 1986. The legumes wereplanted and propagated at Hengchun Station, TLRI. They were cutat their flowering stage for yields estimation and analysis of foragequalities. Compiling all records of the yield, agronomical characteristics, palatability and chemical composition, 18 specises were thought tohave foragelization potential, they were: Alysicarpus nummularifolius、A. rugosus 、A. vaginalis 、A. spp. 、Arachis glabrata 、Centrosemaplumieri 、C. pubescens 、Desmodium gangeticum 、D. heterocarpon、D. velutinum 、Leucaenaglauca 、Macroptilium atropurpureum 、Medicago sativa 、Neonotonia wightii 、Pueraria motana 、Trifoliumpratense 、T.repens and Vigna marina.
