Cholesterol embolism complicated with secondary infection by gram-negative bacilli bacteraemia was rare and posed challenges to clinicians. Here, we report a case of post-revascularization cholesterol embolism syndrome, further developing secondary bacteraemia. After aggressive treatment, the patient recovered. We emphasized the symptoms of cholesterol embolism as early clues for immediate diagnosis and the importance of effective treatments for complicated infection.
