為瞭解烏溪綠色水生植物之繁衍受沿流農工業排放廢水之影響，於民國68年7至10月間在烏溪流域中選取四個取樣點，分別定期收集各取樣點之水樣，調查此流域中綠色水生植物分佈之情形。經調查結果得知四個取樣點其出現之綠色水生植物計有北港村：6科7屬8種。愛蘭橋：22科30屬47種。烏溪橋：12科15屬28種；及大肚橋：9科14屬16種。各採樣點其綠色水生植物出現之頻率與其環境之關係亦在文中討論。

The impact of agricultural and industrial wastewater on the green aquatic plants of Wu-Chi river was investigated from July to October of 1979. Water samples were taken routinely to examine the distribution of green aquatic plants over 4 sampling stat ions along the ri ver . The results are that Pe i - Kan v ill age includes 6 families. 7 genera, 8 species; Ai-Lan bridge includes 22 families, 30 genera, 47 species; Wu-Chi bridge includes 12 families, 15 genera, 28 species; and Ta-Du bridge includes 9 families, 14 genera, 16 species. The relationship between the presence of plant species and their environmental factors are discussed.
